Your Kitchen and your Hormones
Hello my lovely community,
On Friday, Nov 13, I’m teaming up with Ana of Holistic Homes Architecture for a talk at Natural Grocers in Happy Valley.
From Your Kitchen to Your Gut: A Deep Dive on Materials and Products Used in the Kitchen, Hormonal Health and Detoxification.
Here’s why we’re pairing these topics.
Ana knows what your kitchen is made of and how to make it safer. I know what your body needs to handle what it’s exposed to.
What Ana will cover
--> The materials and products used in kitchens, and what to look for
--> Simple changes anyone can make
--> What to consider before a future renovation
What I’ll cover
--> How kitchen materials and common ingredients can affect hormonal health
--> Foods that support your body’s natural detoxification and hormone systems after exposures happen
--> Easy changes for your plate and your pantry
This evening is for you if you want to reduce everyday risk factors.
It’s also for you if you’re navigating cancer yourself, or loving someone through it. A healthy home is essential for healthy living.
We'll both be sticking around afterward to answer questions.

Can’t make it? Start here. 🌿
Here are three things you can do this week:
--> Swap one plastic food container for glass or stainless steel, especially for anything you heat or anything high in fat
--> Add one serving of cruciferous vegetables to your day (broccoli, cabbage, kale, arugula)
--> Read the ingredient list on your pantry staples, even the organic ones, and look for (and throw out) foods containing cottonseed oil
And if you’d like to go deeper, these might be helpful:
Hormonal Health: How the nutrients in your food support hormone production, what can throw your hormones off balance, and an introduction to seed cycling.
Recipes for Hormonal Health: Easy, food-based ways to put hormone-supportive ingredients on your plate.
5 Ways to Reduce Your Cancer Risk Today: Five simple changes, from filtering your water to choosing different oils and fats.
If you’re managing a health concern and want a plan built around your specific situation, that’s what I do with my clients one on one.
I hope to see you there!
Sending lots of love,
Michelle
