Circulation + Summer Hydration Recipes
Dehydration and the circulation issues that result are a big risk factor for cancer patients.
Long term dehydration can lead to: heartburn, back pain, joint pain, constipation, high blood pressure, colitis, and exercise asthma.
It also increases the “stickiness” of the blood, leading to circulation issues which are the third leading cause of death in cancer patients.
The function of the lympathic system hinges upon the healthy flow of fluids throughout the body (transporting red and white blood cells, immune products, and increasing absorption of dietary fats).
However, drinking enough water and other hydrating fluids can be a struggle for many of us. As summer heats up, hydration needs are increased and electrolytes deplete faster.
Please take a look at these delicious recipes and incorporate them into your daily routine.
Help your friends stay hydrated on summer bike rides, at backyard events, and riverside activities!
